Uber is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead and grow teams in their Tech Center in Brazil. You'll define product roadmaps and collaborate with cross-functional teams. This role requires 4+ years of engineering management experience.
You have a proven track record of coaching and growing engineers, with over 4 years of engineering management experience and 7 years in engineering overall. You possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and have successfully managed teams of 5 to 10 people. Your experience includes working with international stakeholders, particularly in large companies with over 10,000 employees. You are passionate about developing and executing ambitious product roadmaps and laying out the technical vision for your area.
As an Engineering Manager at Uber, you will manage, coach, and grow members of your team, ensuring they have the support and resources needed to succeed. You will define and execute on an ambitious product roadmap that aligns with Uber's mission to reimagine the way the world moves. You will collaborate closely with Product, Operations, Design, and other partners to ensure that your team's work has a global impact. You will develop and lead through the senior engineers on your team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. Your role will involve unifying the recruiting process at early stages to better match team allocations, ensuring that the right talent is in place to drive success.
