Position Overview

You are the systems energy in Lyric’s People System i.e. the person who keeps processes compliant, data clean, and documentation reliable. In this role, you build and maintain operational stability across India People Operations, combining statutory and payroll precision with strong process discipline, documentation hygiene, access management, and data integrity. Your work ensures that every chorus member experiences the quiet confidence of systems that simply work.

Your accuracy and consistency build trust across the company, and you help ensure every chorus member has a smooth, reliable experience from pay to paperwork. You bring structure to fast-moving environments and create People systems that scale with clarity and confidence.

The Role

Payroll & Statutory Compliance

  • Prepare, validate, and submit monthly payroll inputs with complete accuracy

  • Ensure PF, ESI, PT, TDS and all statutory deductions are compliant and well-documented

  • Coordinate with Finance and payroll vendors for timely disbursals

  • Maintain audit-ready payroll files, trackers, and statutory records

  • Support statutory and compliance activities including POSH documentation and coordination

Vendor & Partner Management

  • Manage People-related vendors (payroll, insurance, background checks, gifting)

  • Track contracts, SLAs, renewals, invoices, and payments

  • Coordinate employee insurance programs, claims, and policy communication

  • Track People Ops and office-related expenses with discipline and adherence to budgets

Employee Lifecycle Operations

  • Run onboarding, documentation, confirmations, transfers, and exits end-to-end

  • Ensure smooth handoffs with People Experience, TA, HRBPs, and managers

  • Maintain accurate lifecycle records and respond to employee queries across payroll, leave, policies, and day-to-day People Ops

Documentation, Access & Data Hygiene

  • Maintain updated letters, templates, SOPs, and policy documents with clean version control

  • Manage access requests (email, folders, systems) with IT and relevant teams

  • Keep HRIS and trackers accurate; run monthly audits to align HRIS, payroll, and Finance

  • Support reporting through clean dashboards and trackers, including updates to compensation letters and documents after review cycles

Process Rhythm & Continuous Improvement

  • Follow disciplined monthly and quarterly People Ops cadences

  • Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, or inconsistencies and streamline them with support

  • Communicate proactively when delays, risks, or dependencies arise

  • Ensure no loose ends across any People Ops workflow

    Requirements

    • 4+ years of India-focused People Operations or HR Operations experience

    • Experience working in organisations of 400+ (or comparable scale) where process discipline and compliance expectations are high

    • You may not have built People Ops processes from scratch, but you are comfortable owning them end-to-end and bringing structure with support

    • Strong grounding in India payroll, statutory compliance, and vendor coordination

    • High attention to detail with a structured, process-first, systems-driven mindset

    • Experience with HRIS, documentation systems, and data hygiene

    • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
