Deliveroo is seeking a Senior Data Science Manager to lead the pricing and value strategy across multiple growth teams. You'll leverage your expertise in data analysis and machine learning to drive data-driven decisions that enhance customer trust and profitability. This role requires significant leadership experience in data science.
You have over 5 years of experience in data science, with a strong focus on pricing strategies and value optimization. Your background includes leading teams and driving data-driven decisions that align with business goals. You possess a deep understanding of statistical analysis and machine learning techniques, enabling you to shape pricing and promotional strategies effectively. You are skilled in SQL and have experience with data analysis tools, allowing you to extract insights from complex datasets. Your leadership style fosters collaboration and innovation, ensuring that your teams are aligned and motivated to achieve their objectives. You are comfortable working with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, and Marketing, to influence strategic decisions.
Experience in the e-commerce or food delivery industry is a plus, as is familiarity with causal inference and experimentation methodologies. You have a track record of successful project management and are adept at communicating complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
In this role, you will own the analytical and strategic direction of Pricing and Value across Deliveroo. You will lead multiple teams, ensuring that data-driven decisions translate into sustainable growth and long-term customer trust. Your responsibilities will include conducting pricing elasticity analysis and developing fee structures that balance revenue growth with customer retention. You will shape the value proposition of offerings such as Plus, aligning pricing, benefits, and incentives to meet customer expectations. You will set rigorous experimentation standards across Pricing, Promotions, and Loyalty teams, enabling confident trade-offs between growth and profitability. Additionally, you will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Commercial leaders to influence roadmaps and pricing-related product decisions. Your oversight will ensure day-to-day optimization across teams, driving continuous improvement in pricing strategies.
