Who you are

You have over 5 years of experience in quality assurance, with a strong focus on test automation and strategy development. Your expertise in Java allows you to effectively contribute to the testing of complex applications, ensuring they meet high standards of quality and performance. You are familiar with Kubernetes and have experience in deploying container-based applications, which enhances your ability to work in modern development environments. You possess a keen eye for detail and are adept at multitasking in an agile setting, allowing you to manage various testing activities simultaneously. Your collaborative spirit enables you to partner effectively with developers and cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage and resolution of issues.

Desirable

Experience with eCommerce applications and high-traffic environments is a plus, as it equips you with the insights needed to handle performance testing and scalability challenges. Familiarity with CI-CD pipelines is also beneficial, as it aligns with the automated testing processes you will be involved in.

What you'll do

In this role, you will participate in developing and documenting user stories by providing test strategies and automation estimates. You will be responsible for building, executing, and maintaining various types of tests, including unit, component, acceptance, integration, load, security, and usability tests. Conducting code reviews will be part of your duties to ensure the consistency and quality of test automation artifacts. You will collaborate closely with developers to ensure that all areas of the application are thoroughly tested and to identify technical solutions for test automation challenges. Regular execution and maintenance of automated test suites will be essential, as you analyze results to pinpoint the causes of failures and create detailed defect reports for issues found.

You will also present test results to stakeholders to sign off on software functionality for new production releases. Working with cross-functional teams, you will manage the development, QA, and production releases of the software, ensuring a smooth transition from development to deployment. Your role will involve performing exploratory testing to understand features and identify unexpected behaviors, refining the testing process as necessary.
