Who you are

You have a degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or Mechanical Engineering, or possess a comparable qualification with substantial practical experience in automation technology. You are the go-to person for all control systems, sensors, communication protocols, and automation processes at the Barleben site. Your proactive approach to monitoring and analyzing systems ensures high availability for production teams, and you thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with maintenance teams to enhance system reliability.

You are skilled in troubleshooting and resolving issues with programmable logic controllers (SPS), SCADA systems, cameras, sensors, and other automation components. Your analytical mindset allows you to conduct root cause analyses during disturbances and implement effective improvement concepts. You are also adept at documenting all activities and processes in the computer-based maintenance management system (CMMS) and ticketing system, ensuring transparency and efficiency in operations.

Desirable

What you'll do

In this role, you will actively monitor, analyze, and continuously optimize our systems to ensure high availability for our production teams. You will be responsible for overseeing automation, robotics, and control systems, implementing continuous improvement projects that enhance operational efficiency. You will independently handle troubleshooting and repairs on SPS, SCADA systems, cameras, sensors, and other automation components, ensuring smooth production processes.

You will create technical reports on disturbances and improvement measures, utilizing efficiency and analysis tools to drive enhancements. Your documentation skills will be crucial as you record all activities in the CMMS and ticketing system, contributing to a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. You will conduct root cause analyses during disturbances and outages, implementing sustainable improvement concepts to prevent future occurrences.
