Overview

NEORIS is seeking a Software Engineer Specialist with at least 5 years of experience in system development and functional analysis. You'll work with technologies such as Java, Node.js, and Azure in a hybrid work environment based in Mexico City.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in software development and functional analysis, demonstrating a strong ability to create high-value solutions for clients. Your technical expertise includes proficiency in Java, Node.js, and .NET, allowing you to build robust applications that meet business needs. You are well-versed in software architecture principles, including layered architecture, MVC, SOA, and microservices, which enables you to design scalable and maintainable systems.

Your testing skills are comprehensive, covering unit, integration, business, and performance testing, ensuring that the software you develop is reliable and efficient. You are familiar with version control systems, particularly Git, and have experience using platforms like GitHub and Azure DevOps to manage code repositories effectively.

You possess a deep understanding of Java technologies such as JSP, JSF, JPA, JAX-WS, JAX-RS, JMS, and Servlets, which allows you to leverage these tools in your development processes. Your knowledge of frameworks like Spring Boot, Spring Security, and Struts enhances your ability to create secure and efficient applications.

In addition to your programming skills, you have experience with cloud technologies, including Azure and OpenShift, and understand the principles of rehosting, replatforming, and refactoring applications for cloud environments. Your familiarity with containers and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes positions you well for modern application deployment strategies.

You are also knowledgeable about API-first design and have experience using API gateways, which is crucial for developing integrated systems. Your skills in data migration, particularly with ETL pipelines, and your understanding of cloud-native databases like MongoDB Atlas and Azure SQL, further enhance your capabilities.

What you'll do

As a Software Engineer Specialist at NEORIS, you will be responsible for developing and implementing high-quality software solutions that align with client needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and design systems that are both efficient and scalable. Your role will involve writing clean, maintainable code and conducting thorough testing to ensure software reliability.

You will participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the design of software systems, applying your knowledge of layered architecture and microservices. Your expertise in Java and related frameworks will be essential as you build and maintain applications that support business operations.

In addition to development tasks, you will be involved in code reviews and mentoring junior developers, sharing your knowledge and best practices to foster a collaborative team environment. You will also work closely with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and Azure DevOps, ensuring smooth deployment processes.

Your understanding of cloud technologies will be critical as you assist in migrating applications to cloud environments and optimizing their performance. You will also engage in troubleshooting and resolving issues that arise in production systems, ensuring minimal downtime and a seamless user experience.

What we offer

NEORIS provides a multicultural work environment that encourages innovation and continuous learning. You will have access to professional development opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package. The hybrid work model allows for flexibility, with 2-3 days in the office located in Mexico City. We invite you to explore our company culture and values through our social media channels and website.
