Overview

Flex is seeking a Senior Director of Compliance Governance & Operations to lead compliance initiatives and ensure regulatory adherence. This role requires strategic oversight and experience in compliance management within the FinTech sector.

Who you are

You are a seasoned compliance leader with extensive experience in governance and operations, particularly within the FinTech industry. You have a proven track record of maintaining compliance frameworks and ensuring that organizations meet regulatory requirements. Your strategic mindset allows you to set priorities effectively and guide high-performing teams towards achieving compliance goals. You thrive in fast-paced environments and understand the importance of embedding a culture of compliance across all levels of an organization.

You possess strong leadership skills, having successfully managed teams that oversee Compliance Management Systems (CMS) and License & Exam Management (LEM). Your ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and represent compliance interests in high-level discussions is a key strength. You are detail-oriented and have a deep understanding of the legal and regulatory landscape affecting financial services.

Desirable

Experience in scaling compliance operations in a growth-stage company is a plus. Familiarity with compliance technology solutions and data analytics tools will enhance your ability to drive compliance initiatives effectively. You are adaptable and open to learning, always seeking to improve processes and systems to better support the organization’s mission.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the Compliance Governance and Operations team at Flex, ensuring that the organization adheres to all regulatory requirements and maintains the legal right to operate. You will oversee the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures, ensuring they align with the company’s growth objectives. Your strategic oversight will be crucial in setting priorities for the compliance team, enabling them to execute their responsibilities with precision.

You will represent the Compliance function in senior forums, advocating for compliance considerations in business decisions and initiatives. Your leadership will help foster a culture of compliance throughout the organization, ensuring that all employees understand their roles in maintaining compliance. You will work closely with other departments to integrate compliance into their operations, providing guidance and support as needed.

As Flex continues to grow, you will play a critical role in scaling the compliance infrastructure, ensuring that it evolves alongside the business. You will mentor and develop your team, helping them to enhance their skills and capabilities in compliance management. Your contributions will directly impact the organization’s ability to operate effectively and maintain strong relationships with bank partners and regulators.
