SpaceX is seeking a Production Control Scheduler to manage production scheduling for the Dragon program. You'll work closely with production teams and stakeholders to optimize hardware allocation and ensure alignment with mission goals. This role requires experience in production control and MRP systems.
You have a strong background in production scheduling, with experience managing both tactical day-to-day tasks and long-term planning. You understand the intricacies of production control and can effectively create rate-based schedules that align with mission requirements. Your ability to build strong relationships with customers and suppliers is key to your success in this role. You are familiar with MRP requirements and logic, and you lead cross-functional efforts to improve MRP accuracy, ensuring better alignment between targeted and actual schedules.
You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with production teams to set, track, and execute daily and weekly goals. You are adept at managing constraints related to personnel and equipment while supporting overall rate targets. Your communication skills allow you to establish high-accuracy means of communication for hardware needs and completion dates, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
Experience in aerospace or a related industry is a plus, as is familiarity with advanced scheduling tools and techniques. You are proactive in identifying potential issues and developing solutions that enhance production efficiency. Your analytical skills enable you to assess various scenarios and determine optimal hardware allocation based on customer needs and mission manifest.
In this role, you will take complete ownership of production scheduling for the Dragon program, managing both tactical and strategic aspects of the scheduling process. You will create and maintain a rate-based schedule for hardware, defining and tracking constraints across builds for upcoming missions. Your responsibilities will include generating stakeholder buy-in on various scheduling scenarios and ensuring that hardware allocation meets customer quality requirements.
You will collaborate with production teams to establish and execute daily and weekly goals, taking into account personnel and equipment constraints. Your role will involve building strong relationships with customers and internal/external suppliers, facilitating effective communication regarding hardware needs and completion timelines. You will also lead efforts to manage and improve MRP accuracy, aligning targeted schedules with actual production outcomes.
