Microsoft Defender Security Research team is a global team of security researchers, advanced threat hunters, and agile malware responders at the forefront of protecting the Microsoft ecosystem from emerging security threats. Our research powers protection in products like Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Defender Advanced Threat Protection, Office 365, Azure, and more. We are an industry leading threat research lab that does in-depth threat research with threats and exploits to help keep our customers safe.
If you are an experienced security researcher who is looking to make a significant impact in the security industry, we would love to talk to you! Are you interested in radically improving the security of Microsoft’s products? Do you want to work on cutting edge malware analysis systems? Are you committed to helping Microsoft customers keep their computers secure and combating evolving malware threats? We are looking for a Senior Security Researcher with experiences working with all service aspects of high throughput and multi-tenant services, ability to design components carefully, properly handle errors, write clean and well-factored code with tests and maintainability.
This is a unique opportunity to design and build researcher tooling that will improve the researcher experience for hundreds in endpoint and cloud protection teams.

Security Research IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $114,400 - CAD $203,900 per year.
