Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with machine learning model development and deployment working with technical customers.
  • Experience in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python).
  • Active, or the ability to obtain, a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with LLMs and LLM-based solutions such as prompt engineering, fine-tuning, RAG workflows, and agentic systems.
  • Experience containerizing ML workloads.
  • Proficiency in Linux/Unix and C++ programming language.
  • Proficiency working in multiple cloud environments.
  • Ability to lead the design and implementation of AI-based solutions, web services, and debugging tools.

As a Cloud Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) Engineer, you will guide Public Sector customers on how to configure and deploy their AI and machine learning solutions. Together with the team, you will support customer implementations of Google Cloud products through architecture guidance, best practices, data migration, capacity planning, implementation, troubleshooting, monitoring, and more. You will consult with customers on how to best design their AI and machine learning solutions including development and deployment of ML models. You will travel to customer sites to deploy solutions and deliver workshops to educate and empower customers. Additionally, you will work closely with Product Management and Product Engineering to drive excellence in Google Cloud products and features.

This role requires the ability to travel up to 30% of the time.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $97,500-$140,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Translate business requirements into conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
  • Create and deliver best practices recommendations, tutorials, blog articles, sample code, and technical presentations, adapting to different levels of key business and technical stakeholders.
  • Work with Customers, Partners, and Google Product teams to deliver tailored solutions into production.
  • Coach customers on the practical issues in ML systems: feature extraction/feature definition, data validation, monitoring, and management of features/models.
  • Travel regularly (up to 30%) for meetings, technical reviews, and onsite delivery activities.
