Apple is hiring a Quality Engineer for their Health Software team to ensure the quality and reliability of health-related microservices. You'll work with Java and Scala to develop automated test frameworks. This role requires 4+ years of experience in test automation development.
You have 4+ years of experience in test automation development, including the creation and management of test frameworks from scratch. Your expertise includes writing code in Java or Scala to test APIs, SDKs, or frameworks, and you have developed various forms of software tests such as unit, functional, performance, or stress tests. You are skilled in writing and automating test cases that interact with both SQL and NoSQL databases, and you possess a solid understanding of microservices design principles, service orchestration, and inter-service communication, including REST, gRPC, and messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ. Your educational background includes a BS in Computer Science or a relevant field, and you have excellent interpersonal skills that allow you to work well with engineers and other teams.
Familiarity with wellness or medical concepts is a plus, as is knowledge of graph databases or ontologies. You thrive in collaborative environments and are eager to integrate quality into every stage of the development lifecycle.
As a Quality Engineer on the Health Software team, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks and validation systems for complex health software used by millions of Apple customers. You will collaborate closely with development, product, and clinical teams to ensure quality is integrated into every stage of the development lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include developing automation tools and applications that enhance the testing process and improve overall software quality. You will also be involved in the continuous improvement of testing strategies and methodologies, ensuring that the software meets the highest standards of reliability and performance. You will play a key role in supporting Clinical Health Records and contributing to future Apple Health features, making a significant impact on how users manage and learn about their health.
