Turion Space is seeking an Information System Security Manager to lead their cybersecurity posture for classified cloud enterprises. You'll drive RMF/CSRM excellence and collaborate with IT and engineering teams. This role requires an active Top Secret/SCI clearance and 5+ years of experience.
You have over 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, particularly in managing security for classified environments. Your expertise includes integrating security best practices into software development lifecycles and infrastructure design, ensuring that security is a fundamental aspect of all processes. You possess an active Top Secret/SCI clearance and are eligible for polygraph, which is essential for this role. You are skilled in conducting security risk assessments and vulnerability assessments, allowing you to identify and mitigate potential threats effectively.
Your experience includes maintaining and updating System Security Plans (SSPs) and Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), ensuring that all accreditation documentation is current and compliant with regulations. You have overseen Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) processes, successfully obtaining and maintaining system Authority to Operate (ATO). Your leadership skills shine through as you provide mentorship to security team members, fostering a culture of cybersecurity excellence within your team.
You are well-versed in tailoring NIST 800-53 controls to fit the network environment, overseeing the implementation of Continuous Monitoring for respective programs. Your ability to collaborate with government security officials and stakeholders is crucial in addressing security gaps and improving controls across the organization.
Experience with incident response efforts, including investigation, root cause analysis, containment, and reporting, is a plus. You are familiar with conducting regular audits and continuous monitoring to ensure ongoing compliance and system resilience. Your proactive approach to security and compliance will set the gold standard for protecting national security missions.
