Overview

Tanium is seeking a Solutions Engineer to help large organizations achieve visibility and control over complex environments. You'll work closely with sales and customer success teams to deliver technical solutions and conduct platform demos. This role requires strong technical skills and the ability to translate customer needs into effective solutions.

Who you are

You have a strong technical background and an uncanny ability to understand customer needs — your experience allows you to effectively translate complex technical concepts to various audiences, ensuring clarity and understanding. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with sales and customer success teams to drive technology evaluations and deliver impactful solutions. Your communication skills enable you to engage with stakeholders at all levels, from technical users to executive leadership.

You are passionate about helping organizations achieve unprecedented visibility and control over their environments — your ability to analyze customer technology and architecture allows you to identify challenges and propose tailored solutions. You enjoy leading technical discussions and demonstrating the value of your solutions through comprehensive Proof of Value engagements. Your proactive approach to problem-solving ensures that you can address customer concerns effectively and efficiently.

Desirable

Experience in pre-sales or technical sales roles is a plus, as is familiarity with enterprise operations and security platforms. You may have a background in IT or software engineering, which enhances your ability to engage in deep-dive technical discussions with customers. A strong understanding of the sales cycle and the ability to shorten sales cycles through effective engagement is highly desirable.

What you'll do

In this role, you will work directly with Tanium's world-class sales team from initial discovery to deal closure — your expertise will help shorten sales cycles and improve closing rates. You will oversee and participate in initial discovery meetings with customers, providing platform demos and engaging in highly technical Proof of Value engagements for both existing customers and new sales opportunities. Your role will involve translating customer business challenges into technical solutions, positioning Tanium to effectively address those challenges.

You will lead interactive pre-sales discovery meetings, analyzing customers' current technology and architecture, as well as their operational and business needs. Your ability to develop and present appropriate Tanium solutions will be crucial in demonstrating the platform's transformative capabilities. You will engage in deep-dive technical discussions with customers, ensuring that all relevant stakeholders understand the value of Tanium's offerings.
