Overview

SeatGeek is seeking a Staff UX Designer to transform live experiences in the ticketing industry. You'll leverage your expertise in behavioral design and storytelling to shape strategy and deliver high-quality user experiences. This role requires 8+ years of experience in UX design.

Who you are

You have over 8 years of experience in UX design, with a strong focus on research methods that impact product direction and detailed experience design. Your background includes at least 4 years in relevant technology sectors, such as ticketing or event management, where you've developed a deep understanding of user needs and behaviors. You thrive in ambiguous situations, demonstrating outstanding design skills and a passion for experimentation and data-driven decision-making. Your ability to balance speed and quality ensures that you drive impactful optimizations and develop innovative products from the ground up.

You are skilled in behavioral design and systems design, with a knack for storytelling that helps convey complex ideas simply and effectively. You excel at collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, marketing, and customer success, to craft cohesive visions that enhance user experiences. Your experience in improving component systems ensures that you maintain high-quality standards across all user interactions.

What you'll do

In this role, you will deeply understand the needs, motivations, and behaviors of various stakeholders, including fans, sellers, teams, and artists. You will set direction by creating clear and impactful strategies while sweating the details through execution and launch. Your leadership will guide the UX team in transforming live experiences, ensuring that every design decision aligns with the overarching vision of SeatGeek.

You will balance speed and quality, focusing on driving impact through both optimizations and the development of new products. Your outstanding design skills will be crucial as you lead projects from concept to polished delivery, ensuring that the user experience is seamless and engaging. You will also be responsible for collaboratively improving our component systems, ensuring consistent and high-quality experiences across the platform.
