Merchant category team at Amazon India Development Center is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will ensure the quality and reliability of Merchant category products such as flights, Hotels, Movies, Bus, Trains, Auto & Bike Insurance booking platforms by creating, maintaining, and executing test plans, identifying defects, and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams. You will be responsible for creating automated and manual test scripts, executing tests, analyzing results, and collaborating with development teams to ensure the delivery of defect-free services.
Key job responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute test cases and test scripts to validate product functionality, performance, and usability across various boson products.
- Identify, log, and track software defects and issues, ensuring they are appropriately documented, prioritized, and resolved in a timely manner.
- Perform both manual and automated testing, ensuring test coverage and that the software is free of defects, consistent with business requirements.
- Hands on with UI and API automation using tools such as Selenium, playwright, REST Assured, Appium etc.
- Experience with at least one programming/scripting language such as Python, Java or JavaScript.
- Knowledge of API testing and web services
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.- 2+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in manual testing
- Experience in automation testing
- Experience in UI and API automation testing (Selenium/SOAPUI)- Experience in API & Mobile testing
- Experience designing and planning test conditions, test scripts, and test data sets to ensure appropriate and adequate coverage and control
