Who you are

You are an Engineering Technician with a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical systems — you thrive in hands-on environments and have experience troubleshooting complex equipment. Your background includes working with mission-critical facilities, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently. You understand the importance of maintaining high uptime and are committed to delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced setting. You are familiar with AWS infrastructure and have a basic understanding of Linux systems, which will help you in your role. You are a team player who enjoys collaborating with diverse groups of engineers and specialists to solve challenging problems.

Desirable

Experience with data center operations or similar environments is a plus, as is familiarity with diesel generators and three-phase electrical systems. You may have certifications or training in electrical engineering or related fields, which will enhance your ability to contribute effectively to the team.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting various systems within the data center, including stand-by diesel generators, UPSs, and cooling systems. You will work closely with other technicians and engineers to ensure that all equipment operates at peak performance. Your day-to-day tasks will involve hands-on work with electrical systems, performing routine maintenance, and responding to any operational issues that arise. You will also participate in projects aimed at improving efficiency and reliability within the data center.

You will be part of a team that supports AWS data centers, contributing to the infrastructure that powers global digital experiences. Your expertise will help maintain an extraordinary uptime of 99.999%, ensuring that customers have continual access to the services they rely on. You will engage in troubleshooting activities, working with various tools and technologies to diagnose and resolve issues quickly. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential as you work to enhance operational processes and implement best practices.
