GHD is seeking a Senior Analyst in Actuarial Modeling to assist with onboarding new deals and perform model analysis. You'll work with SQL and actuarial modeling tools in Boston or Des Moines.
You have a strong background in actuarial science or quantitative analysis, with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. Your expertise includes building and validating actuarial models, and you are comfortable working with complex financial data. You possess excellent analytical skills and are detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy in your work. You are adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams and can communicate complex concepts clearly to stakeholders. You are familiar with industry regulations and best practices, and you are committed to continuous learning and professional development.
Experience with MG-ALFA modeling software is a plus, as is familiarity with insurance products and financial modeling techniques. A professional actuarial designation or progress towards one would be advantageous, demonstrating your commitment to the field.
In this role, you will assist with onboarding new deals to the existing valuation modeling platform, ensuring that all relevant documentation is reviewed and understood. You will perform due diligence to validate that product features and assumptions are accurately implemented in the interim AFM model. Your responsibilities will include building the MG-ALFA model, utilizing accurate product features, assumptions, and data to ensure robust model performance. You will conduct model analysis and sensitivity analysis to validate results, presenting your findings to key stakeholders for model signoff. Additionally, you will build various tools, including model replication, to support user acceptance and enhance the overall modeling process.
