We are seeking a Director, Data Science to oversee a multidisciplinary group of Data Scientists, owning the end-to-end lifecycle from research to production deployment. You will solve real-world problems and have a direct impact on innovating Augury’s core technology. You will be at the forefront of technology, utilizing advanced machine learning approaches and the latest big-data technologies with a unique dataset.

You will combine deep technical expertise with strong leadership, guiding the development of cutting-edge ML/DL models while ensuring alignment with business goals. This is both a strategic and hands-on role, where you will inspire, mentor, and scale a high-impact data science team.

What You’ll Do

Lead, grow, and mentor a multidisciplinary team of Data Scientists.
Define the strategic roadmap to ensure alignment with product and business priorities.
Drive innovation by researching, prototyping, and deploying advanced ML/DL models into production.
Foster a culture of experimentation, technical excellence, and collaboration across product and engineering teams.
Translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights for executives, customers, and cross-functional partners.
Ensure scalable, production-ready AI solutions by overseeing the full model lifecycle, data ingestion, feature engineering, model training, validation, deployment, and monitoring.
Establish best practices for Data Science in a SaaS environment, including experimentation frameworks and model governance.

What You Bring

M.Sc./Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, statistics or relevant engineering discipline.
7+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Scientist, delivering models into production.
4+ years of proven leadership managing Data Science teams, ideally in a SaaS or technology company.
Strong expertise in Machine Learning and Deep Learning; time series modelling or RNN is a plus.
Experience working with large-scale datasets and modern ML frameworks.
Experience in sampling, sensing, signal processing, and physics is a strong advantage.
Demonstrated ability to connect technical solutions to business outcomes and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Proven capabilities in leading multidisciplinary research.
A track record of scaling teams, systems, and processes in a high-growth environment.
