Fivetran is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to enhance the reliability and performance of their data platform. You'll collaborate with engineering teams and utilize skills in AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes to ensure infrastructure stability. This role requires significant experience in site reliability engineering.
You have 5+ years of experience in site reliability engineering or a related field, with a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and reliability best practices. Your expertise in AWS and container orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes allows you to effectively manage and optimize production environments. You are proficient in Linux and have experience with monitoring tools to ensure system availability and performance. Your background includes incident management, where you've successfully led responses to outages and implemented strategies to prevent future incidents. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with engineering teams to integrate reliability into the product development lifecycle. You are proactive in identifying potential issues and implementing solutions that enhance system reliability and performance.
Experience with automation tools and scripting languages is a plus, as is familiarity with CI/CD pipelines. You understand the importance of capacity planning and have a track record of maintaining high availability in production systems. Your communication skills enable you to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring that reliability considerations are prioritized in product roadmaps.
As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Fivetran, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the reliability of our data platform. You will monitor the availability, capacity, and throughput of our production infrastructure, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues before they impact customers. Collaborating with engineering teams, you will integrate reliability best practices into the product roadmap, ensuring that new features are designed with reliability in mind. You will support the deployment pipeline, working alongside senior SREs to implement automation for scalable deployments. Your contributions will help maintain 100% availability of our production infrastructure, and you will be responsible for initial incident response, ensuring that any issues are resolved quickly and efficiently. You will also support the prioritization and resolution of critical bugs identified by support or sales teams, contributing to the overall performance and reliability of Fivetran’s infrastructure.
