The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Manager, Production Management (Series/Film) – Korea to oversee our slate of Local Language Originals being produced in Korean from a production perspective.

This role will manage production operations end-to-end: establishing and maintaining vendor and crew relationships, reviewing and guiding budgets, and supporting best practices across pre-production through final delivery.

The position will work closely with our Creative, Post Production, VFX, and other internal teams, as well as local series producers, to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to the highest standard.

A successful candidate will be self-motivated, proactive, quick-thinking, and highly organized. They will be able to pivot when needed and balance multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment. This role requires excellent judgment, flexibility, and a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

Pre-Production / Show Setup

  • Partner with Finance, Legal, Creative, Studio Technology, Post, and external production teams to establish production schedules, workflows, and cost efficiencies to maximize spend on screen.

  • Support safe return-to-work production protocols.

Budgeting

  • Collaborate with partners to prepare and review budgets and schedules, providing internal and external feedback on feasibility and risks.

  • Work with internal/external teams to finalize budgets.

  • Track and manage all production-related costs, keeping stakeholders regularly updated.

  • Review cost reports and trackers weekly with Finance.

  • Help ensure productions remain safe, on schedule, and on budget.

Ongoing Production Support

  • Troubleshoot issues as they arise and maintain open communication with external production partners.

  • Collaborate with Production HR and Diligence teams to ensure respectful treatment of crews and participants, on and off set.

Scheduling

  • Support in drafting and updating schedules for ongoing shows.

  • Work closely with internal teams (including Distribution and Localization) and external partners to finalize schedules.

  • Communicate and troubleshoot schedule changes across teams.

Staffing & Vendors

  • Lead or support recruitment of key production staff.

  • Maintain and curate a preferred vendor list aligned with slate needs.

  • Identify key vendors to support creative vision, budget efficiency, incentives, and location needs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8+ years’ experience as a Main Producer (freelance or staff), working on medium-to-high budget studio, network, or major production company series/films.

  • Proven ability to remain calm under pressure and lead both internal teams and external partners with empathy.

  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, across all stages of production (development through delivery).

  • Familiarity with current production workflows and trends in HD and 4K.

  • Flexibility to respond outside of standard hours when necessary.

  • Commitment to continuous learning of current production processes, tools, and technologies.

  • Strong team player, thriving in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

  • High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information.

  • Excellent prioritization and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to multitask effectively.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Gmail.

  • Fluency in Korean required; proficiency in English strongly preferred, but not a requirement.

Inclusion is a Netflix value and we strive to host a meaningful interview experience for all candidates. If you want an accommodation/adjustment for a disability or any other reason during the hiring process, please send a request to your recruiting partner.
