OpenGov is seeking an Account Executive II to lead sales efforts for their ERP solutions in the public sector. You'll be responsible for territory planning, prospect identification, and managing the sales cycle. This role requires strong collaboration and customer service skills.
You have a proven track record in sales, particularly within the public sector, and understand the unique challenges and opportunities that come with selling ERP solutions to local and state governments. Your experience includes managing the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals, ensuring that you meet and exceed sales goals consistently. You are a strong communicator and collaborator, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver the best outcomes for customers. You are driven by results and have a customer-first mindset, always looking for ways to enhance the customer experience and build long-lasting relationships.
Experience in the public sector or with ERP solutions is a plus, as is familiarity with AI technologies that can enhance government operations. You are adaptable and open to learning about new products and services that can benefit your clients. A background in sales strategy development and execution will help you thrive in this role, as will your ability to analyze market trends and adjust your approach accordingly.
In this role, you will lead all sales efforts within your assigned territory for a defined OpenGov Product Suite. This includes territory planning, prospect identification, and lead generation. You will manage the sales cycle from initial contact through to contract negotiation and deal closure, ensuring that you maintain a high standard of integrity and customer service throughout the process. You will collaborate closely with the ERP POD Leader and other stakeholders to align sales strategies with organizational goals. Your responsibilities will also include preparing proposals and presentations that effectively communicate the value of OpenGov's solutions to potential clients.
You will be expected to track your sales activities and results meticulously, using data to inform your strategies and improve your performance. Building and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers in government organizations will be crucial to your success. You will also participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and stay updated on industry trends and product offerings.
