Google is seeking a Product Manager II for Kids Content ML on YouTube. You'll guide products from conception to launch, focusing on machine learning applications. This role requires 5+ years of experience in product management and expertise in machine learning.
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 5 years of experience in product management or related technical roles. Your background includes 3 years of experience developing and iterating on Machine Learning or LLM classifiers, demonstrating your ability to work with complex technologies. You have successfully taken technical consumer products from conception to launch, showcasing your project management skills and understanding of the product lifecycle. You are comfortable working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UXR, partnerships, marketing, and other stakeholders, ensuring that all aspects of product development are aligned. Your experience includes preparing and delivering product strategy presentations to executive leadership, indicating your strong communication skills and ability to influence decision-making. You are adaptable and excited to work on products that affect millions of people every day, embodying the user-first philosophy that Google champions.
A Master's degree in a technology or business-related field would be a plus, as would 2 years of experience driving the roadmap for ML models in search or recommendation systems. You thrive in collaborative environments and are eager to lead alignment between various teams, including youth and Search and Discovery surface owners, as well as other collaborators in Product, Engineering, User Experience Researcher (UXR), Partnerships, Marketing, Government Affairs and Public Policy (GAPP), and Legal.
In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch, connecting the technical and business worlds. You will break down complex problems into actionable steps that drive product development, ensuring that the needs of users are met while aligning with business objectives. You will serve as the domain expert for kids quality ML across YouTube, leading alignment between various stakeholders and ensuring that the products developed are of the highest quality. Your responsibilities will include analyzing, positioning, and applying signals in Search and Discovery across both short-form and long-form content types. You will collaborate closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, and other team members to design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. Your role will be pivotal in guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing on delivering innovative solutions that enhance user experience.
