Overview

Who you are

You have a strong background in automation engineering, with experience in monitoring and troubleshooting automated systems. You are skilled in interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings, and you understand the importance of maximizing equipment availability. Your expertise in data visualization allows you to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, ensuring that all systems are documented accurately. You are proactive in participating in continuous improvement projects and enjoy collaborating with different departments to enhance operational efficiency.

Desirable

Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) metrics is a plus, as is familiarity with IEC 61131-3 standards. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are eager to work with emerging technologies to solve complex productivity challenges.

What you'll do

As an Automation Engineer at Amazon, you will be responsible for ensuring that our automated systems operate at peak performance. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and repair issues with key systems, working closely with the EU Controls network. Your role will involve providing data visualizations to stakeholders, which will help in making informed decisions regarding system improvements. You will also take the lead in continuous improvement projects, collaborating with global colleagues to install and commission new equipment.

You will be the site expert on automation machinery, including conveyors and sortation systems, ensuring they run efficiently. If any issues arise, you will be responsible for diagnosing and implementing solutions to maintain optimal performance. Your work will directly impact the efficiency of our operations, contributing to the timely delivery of customer orders.
