Job Description

Amazon Marketplace is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to acquire and manage strategic key accounts. As a Business Development Manager you will develop a sales pipeline mix of high value and transactional accounts, recruit and launch small, medium and established businesses to sell their products on www.amazon.com.mx and manage the portfolio to grow their sales exponentially.

Specifically, you will be responsible for identifying and building relationships with key influencers and decision-makers within the executive teams of prospective accounts, identify decision takers, along with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to create and present compelling Amazon solutions that meet and exceed customer requirements. Post acquisition, you will build success cases together with those accounts by providing business insights, training and identifying business opportunities and executing a growth strategy.



Key job responsibilities
- Identify, qualify, and acquire high-potential merchants for the Selling on Amazon program through FBA
- Build and manage a pipeline of merchants to meet/exceed quarterly revenue targets
- Develop relationships with key decision-makers in prospective accounts



- Serve as a business partner providing data-driven insights and guidance
- Support merchants in mastering Amazon's tools and systems
- Help merchants optimize their catalog, inventory, and performance management
- Ensure compliance with Amazon's delivery and customer experience standards

- Develop deep understanding of assigned categories, market trends, and competitive landscape
- Analyze customer data and create strategic recommendations
- Track and analyze business metrics and prepare performance reviews
- Identify growth opportunities within the portfolio


- Maintain thorough knowledge of Selling on Amazon products and features
- Create compelling value propositions for potential sellers
- Stay current with e-commerce industry trends and competitive offerings


- Manage multiple opportunities strategically and concurrently
- Handle complex contract negotiations
- Monitor and meet KPIs in a metrics-driven environment
- Prioritize effectively to achieve targets and optimize performance

- 3+ years of sales or marketing work (like e-commerce, retail technology, SaaS) or equivalent experience
- Experience in cold calling, prospecting and qualifying companies or equivalent
- English proficiency - Advanced (written and spoken)- 2+ years of inside sales experience
- Knowledge of procurement and source to pay methods at small and medium businesses
- Experience influencing at all levels within an organization, particularly at the executive level
- Experience exceeding sales targets using a consultative, solutions-focused approach or equivalent
