Workato is seeking a Security Engineer - Red Team to join their Product Security team. You'll be responsible for security testing, social engineering, and threat intelligence. This role requires advanced security certifications and experience with adversary emulation frameworks.
You have a strong background in security testing, with hands-on experience in identifying vulnerabilities and assessing risks in various systems. Your expertise in social engineering and phishing campaigns allows you to simulate real-world attacks and enhance the security posture of the organization. You hold advanced security certifications such as GCFA, GCIH, GIAC, CRTO, or CRTE, showcasing your commitment to professional development in the field of cybersecurity.
Your knowledge extends to threat intelligence and adversary emulation frameworks, particularly the MITRE ATT&CK framework, which you utilize to understand and anticipate potential threats. You actively participate in the security research community, contributing to CVE discoveries and staying updated on the latest security trends and vulnerabilities. Additionally, you are familiar with compliance frameworks and vendor relationship management, ensuring that security measures align with industry standards and regulations.
As a Security Engineer on the Red Team, you will join Workato's Product Security team, where your primary responsibility will be to conduct security assessments and penetration testing on various applications and systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify security weaknesses and recommend effective remediation strategies. Your role will involve simulating attacks to evaluate the effectiveness of existing security controls and providing actionable insights to improve the overall security posture of the organization.
You will also engage in social engineering exercises, testing the awareness and preparedness of employees against phishing and other manipulation tactics. By analyzing the results of these exercises, you will help develop training programs to enhance the security awareness of the workforce. Your expertise in threat intelligence will be crucial in identifying emerging threats and vulnerabilities, allowing the organization to proactively address potential risks.
In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will contribute to the development of security policies and procedures, ensuring that they are aligned with industry best practices. You will work closely with compliance teams to ensure that security measures meet regulatory requirements and support vendor relationship management efforts.
