Who you are

You have extensive experience in actuarial science, particularly in health insurance, and have a proven track record of leading teams effectively. Your analytical skills are top-notch, allowing you to develop and enhance pricing models that are both competitive and compliant with regulations. You understand the complexities of ACA markets and can navigate the intricacies of pricing strategies while ensuring they are actuarially sound. You are a strong communicator, capable of collaborating with various stakeholders, including Market P&L and Insurance Product teams, to drive strategic decisions. You thrive in a hybrid work environment, balancing in-office collaboration with remote flexibility.

Desirable

Experience with regulatory submissions and a deep understanding of the risks associated with health insurance markets would be beneficial. Familiarity with data analytics tools and methodologies can enhance your contributions to the team.

What you'll do

As the Senior Manager, Actuarial, you will lead a team of analysts responsible for pricing across several ACA markets. You will oversee the end-to-end rate development process, ensuring that all pricing models are robust and compliant with regulatory standards. Your role will involve influencing and collaborating with key stakeholders to develop regional-specific pricing strategies that align with Oscar's overall market approach. You will also be responsible for conducting thorough analyses of market risks and ensuring that all pricing decisions are backed by sound actuarial principles. Regularly, you will report to the Associate Director, Actuarial, providing insights and updates on your team's progress and challenges.

What we offer

Oscar provides a competitive salary range of $158,400 - $207,900 per year, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes participation in an unlimited vacation program and annual performance bonuses.
