Cloud Support Engineer

Who you are

You have a strong background in cloud infrastructure and services, particularly with Amazon Web Services (AWS). Your experience includes hands-on support and management of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda. You are comfortable troubleshooting and resolving issues related to networking, security, and instance performance, ensuring high availability and performance of cloud-based operations.

You possess a solid understanding of both Linux and Microsoft Windows environments, allowing you to navigate and manage diverse systems effectively. Your skills in database administration include experience with Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL, particularly in cloud-hosted environments like AWS RDS. You are proactive in monitoring database health and performance, conducting regular maintenance tasks to ensure optimal operation.

You hold an AWS Associate level certification, demonstrating your commitment to cloud technologies and best practices. An AWS SysOps certification is preferred, showcasing your advanced knowledge in cloud operations and management. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with internal teams and external clients to deliver exceptional support and solutions.

What you'll do

As a Cloud Support Engineer at Numerix, you will be responsible for providing technical support for our cloud infrastructure and services. You will manage and support AWS services, ensuring they operate efficiently and securely. Your role will involve troubleshooting AWS issues related to networking, security groups, and instance performance, implementing solutions that enhance system uptime and reliability.

You will monitor cloud architecture to ensure high availability and performance, implementing disaster recovery strategies as needed. Your expertise will be crucial in optimizing cloud-based operations, allowing financial institutions to leverage our technology effectively. You will also conduct basic administration of databases hosted in AWS, ensuring they are healthy and performing optimally.

Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with various internal teams and external clients to resolve issues and improve cloud services. You will be expected to document processes and solutions, contributing to a knowledge base that enhances team efficiency and client satisfaction.
