Staff Software Engineer, AI/ML Platform, GPUs (Mandarin, English)

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 5 years of experience in testing, and launching software products.
• 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin and English fluently to partner with local clients and regional partners.

Preferred qualifications:

• 8 years of experience in software engineering.
• Experience with Cloud Services or GPUs.

The Cloud Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) team is central to Artificial Intelligence (AI) innovation, dedicated to building and maintaining an industry-leading GPU fleet and AI Platform. The team mission is to empower Google Cloud's training and inference customers by providing computational resources. The team is responsible for the entire lifecycle of GPU offerings within Google Cloud, from the initial launch of new GPU families to ensuring their optimal reliability and operational excellence for AI workloads. The team collaborates with internal and external partners to deliver the foundational infrastructure that promote advancements in artificial intelligence across industries.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement support for new GPU architectures in Google Compute Engine (GCE), ensuring immediate availability for AI workloads.
• Design and implement software solutions that meet the scalability and reliability requirements of the Google Cloud platform.
• Author and review technical specifications to ensure architectural consistency and maintainability of the code base.
• Maintain the existing accelerator solutions by triaging production issues and implementing fixes that prioritize system stability.
• Serve as a technical point of contact for customers during escalations, bridging the gap between user tests and engineering solutions.
