The Exploration Company is hiring a Software Engineer - HiL to develop Hardware-in-the-Loop platforms for their space orbital vehicle, Nyx. You'll work with C, C++, and Python in Munich, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
You are a talented and experienced Software Engineer with a strong background in developing software for complex systems. You have expertise in C and C++, and you are comfortable working in a Linux environment. Your experience with Python allows you to develop scripts and tools that enhance the functionality of Hardware-in-the-Loop platforms. You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working closely with other engineering disciplines to gather requirements and ensure seamless integration of systems. You have a keen eye for detail and a passion for optimizing software architecture for performance and scalability.
Experience with real-time simulation frameworks and databases is a plus. Familiarity with hardware integration and testing methodologies will help you excel in this role. You are open to exploring new software tools and frameworks that can enhance the capabilities of the HiL platforms. Your ability to evaluate and select appropriate solutions will contribute to the success of the Future Systems team.
In your role as Software Engineer - HiL, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software for Hardware-in-the-Loop platforms. You will define and refine the architecture of these platforms, focusing on software aspects such as Test Supervisors and Real-Time Simulation Frameworks. Your work will involve evaluating and selecting software tools that best fit the project requirements. You will collaborate with external partners and vendors to integrate software solutions that enhance the functionality of the HiL platforms.
You will develop software tools and scripts to automate platform setup, test runs, and test exploitations, ensuring that the systems operate efficiently. Your collaboration with cross-functional teams will be crucial in gathering requirements and aligning project objectives. You will continuously evolve your role, adapting to the needs of the Future Systems team and contributing to the development of innovative solutions for space exploration.
