Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 8 years of experience in critical facilities management. Your background includes managing mission-critical facilities and leading teams effectively. You are fluent in both English and French, enabling you to communicate seamlessly with colleagues across different regions. Your experience as a Facilities Manager or Chief Engineer within a critical facility has equipped you with the necessary skills to handle complex operational challenges. You possess a Master's degree in Engineering or a related field, which further enhances your technical knowledge. Your understanding of electrical and mechanical systems in a data center environment is comprehensive, allowing you to make informed decisions that impact facility operations. You excel in people management and leadership, with a proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of Google’s data center facilities, ensuring that all systems are functioning optimally. You will collaborate with various business units to align facility management strategies with company goals and standards. Your duties will include inspecting, maintaining, and repairing critical data center systems, such as HVAC, electrical distribution, and power supply systems. You will also develop strategies to reduce operational costs while improving overall efficiency. Leading a team of technicians, you will provide guidance and support, ensuring that they are equipped to handle daily operational tasks. You will set budgets and manage expenditures, ensuring that all operations are cost-effective. Additionally, you will create and implement strategies for integrating Google-wide initiatives with internal and external partners, focusing on total cost of ownership and operational excellence. Your role will require critical thinking and innovation to address both traditional and emerging challenges in data center operations.
