Key job responsibilities
- Lead technical architecture and implementation of enterprise-scale PLM and supply chain systems that impact Amazon's global operations
- Design and deliver complex solutions that improve system resilience, performance, and business value across multiple teams
- Drive standards for engineering excellence and operational best practices within the organization
- Architect and implement integrations between critical enterprise systems including PLM, ERP, and procurement platforms
- Lead cross-team technical initiatives to reduce complexity and improve operational efficiency
- Identify and mitigate system-level risks across supply chain technology infrastructure
- Develop and implement automation solutions to enhance team productivity and system reliability
- Lead architecture and design reviews for complex systems, guiding teams on technical decisions and trade-offs
- Mentor engineers and contribute to building a strong technical culture
- Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Drive continuous improvement in system monitoring, alerting, and operational excellence
- Influence technical strategy and roadmap decisions across multiple teams
- Decompose complex problems into achievable projects that can be executed by multiple teams

- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
- Experience with Linux/Unix
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes
- 5+ years of systems design, software development, operations, automation, and process improvement experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations- Experience with distributed systems at scale

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
