Key job responsibilities
As a Sr TPM in the newly formed Applied AI team, you will define and establish the technical roadmap for our WWAS wide programs with visibility from senior leadership. You will work closely with technical, financial, and business stakeholders on delivering strategic initiatives that result in measurable impact. You will work closely with scientists and engineers on establishing engineering practices for the team and the stakeholders with whom you work. You will raise the high quality bar, deliver solutions that align with our customers’ business needs. You will think global and at Amazon-scale when making trade-offs, ensuring the technology we build evolves in the right long term direction, while quickly and continuously delivering value to our customers.
A day in the life
* Define, execute, and manage our most demanding technical programs.
* Lead cross-functional teams to understand requirements, make the right trade-offs to ensure high-quality deliverables on time.
* Influence technical technical decisions.
* Assess and mitigate risks, handle escalations, and provide concise updates to stakeholders at all levels.
* Dive deep to understand complex problems and break them down into small pieces with straight-forward solutions.
* Leverage your own expertise and research to benchmark Amazon technologies against the industry.
* Mentor individuals in the community on advanced technical issues, and help them grow their careers.- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
