Databricks is hiring a Senior Deployment Strategist to bridge the gap between customer business problems and technical solutions. You'll work closely with C-suite executives and lead the non-technical lifecycle of engagements. This role requires strong product management skills and strategic thinking.
You have a strong background in product management and a proven ability to engage with C-suite executives — your experience allows you to navigate complex organizational landscapes and define value propositions for high-stakes projects. You are adept at performing deep discovery to understand customer needs and translating them into actionable plans. Your hands-on approach ensures that you can manage projects effectively from inception to delivery, working closely with engineering teams to guide the development of solutions that meet customer expectations.
You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to build trust with stakeholders and articulate the value of technical solutions in business terms. Your strategic mindset allows you to scope multi-million dollar business problems and define Minimum Viable Products that align with customer goals. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy partnering with sales teams to drive successful outcomes.
Experience in AI or data-driven solutions is a plus, as is familiarity with project management methodologies. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to changing priorities while maintaining focus on delivering results. Your ability to think critically and creatively will help you identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in customer engagements.
As a Senior Deployment Strategist at Databricks, you will be at the forefront of our Forward Deployed Engineering team, engaging with strategic customers from the initial sales call through to the delivery of production-ready solutions. You will act as the product manager for customer engagements, responsible for defining the 'why' and 'what' of projects while collaborating with engineers on the 'how.' Your role will involve scoping projects, defining success criteria, and managing timelines to ensure successful outcomes.
You will partner with Account Executives to build relationships with C-suite executives, performing deep discovery to map the customer's political and technical landscape. Your insights will help quantify the business value of solutions and guide the development of pilots that address critical customer needs. You will write Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) that provide clear guidance to engineering teams, ensuring alignment on project goals and deliverables.
Your hands-on execution mindset will be essential as you manage the entire non-technical lifecycle of engagements, from initial scoping to final delivery. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that solutions are tailored to meet customer expectations and drive significant business impact. Your ability to communicate effectively and build trust will be key to your success in this role.
At Databricks, you will be part of a dynamic and innovative team that is dedicated to transforming how organizations leverage data and AI. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, along with opportunities for professional growth and development. You will have the chance to work on high-impact projects that drive real value for our customers, contributing to the success of their businesses.
Join us in our mission to empower organizations to achieve their goals through data-driven solutions. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement — your unique perspective and skills could be a great fit for our team.
