Amazon is hiring an Engineering Operations Technician to maintain mission-critical technology infrastructure. You'll work with electrical and mechanical systems to ensure 99.999% uptime. This position requires hands-on troubleshooting skills and knowledge of data center operations.
You are an Engineering Technician with a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical systems, ready to take on the challenge of maintaining mission-critical technology infrastructure. You have hands-on experience troubleshooting electrical systems, including three-phase electrical systems, UPSs, and generators. Your expertise ensures that operations run smoothly, contributing to an extraordinary uptime of 99.999%. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working alongside a diverse team of engineers and specialists to solve complex problems. You are detail-oriented and committed to maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence. Experience with data center operations and familiarity with cooling systems, such as CRAC units and centrifugal chillers, is a plus. Knowledge of AWS infrastructure services will enhance your ability to support the team effectively.
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting various systems within the data center, including stand-by diesel generators and related fuel systems. You will operate and monitor critical equipment, ensuring that all systems are functioning optimally. Your hands-on approach will involve working directly with electrical and mechanical equipment, diagnosing issues, and implementing solutions to prevent downtime. You will collaborate with other technicians and engineers to address challenges and improve operational processes. Your contributions will directly impact the reliability of AWS services, ensuring that customers have continual access to the technology they rely on.
