Databricks is seeking a Senior Director, Head of Global Accounting to lead their global accounting teams. You'll drive excellence in the global close process and oversee the Global Consolidation process. This role requires extensive experience in accounting leadership.
You have a proven track record of leading large accounting teams, with a focus on both US and international accounting practices. Your experience includes overseeing intercompany and consolidation processes, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and IFRS standards. You are skilled in driving transformation initiatives that enhance the efficiency of accounting operations and have a strong understanding of payroll accounting and accounts payable processes. You excel in building and scaling teams, leveraging technology to automate processes and improve service delivery.
You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to partner effectively with various departments including Finance, IT, and Legal. Your leadership style fosters collaboration and continuous improvement, ensuring that your team is aligned with the company's strategic goals. You are also experienced in establishing and maintaining strong internal controls and governance practices, which are critical for the integrity of financial reporting.
Experience in managing global accounting teams across multiple regions, including the US, Europe, and Asia, is highly desirable. Familiarity with shared services models and the ability to implement best practices in accounting processes will set you apart. You are also comfortable working with external auditors and have a history of successfully completing audits and reviews.
In this role, you will lead the global accounting teams at Databricks, focusing on enhancing the global close process through strategic initiatives. You will serve as the Global Process Owner for Record to Report, responsible for the design and performance of R2R processes globally. Your oversight will ensure that consolidated financial statements are prepared accurately and in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
You will partner with various stakeholders across the organization to drive the expansion of the global shared services footprint, particularly in India and Costa Rica. Your leadership will be crucial in building a high-performing accounting team that is equipped to handle the complexities of a growing global business. You will also be responsible for establishing strong internal controls and governance practices to safeguard the integrity of financial reporting.
