Amazon Costa Rica is looking for a strong leader that will take the ownership and drive the change in our growing Payroll Department. We’re seeking a LATAM Payroll Prep Analyst to join our Payroll Operations Team.

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Prep Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will primarily focus on efficiently handling new hire information and accurately coding payroll inputs across multiple platforms and systems that feed into the payroll process. Also this position will play a key role in propose and lead process enhancements for accuracy and efficiency always with high focus in customer obsession.

Key job responsibilities
1. Process and verify new hire information in payroll and HR systems.
2. Accurately code payroll inputs across various platforms and systems (e.g., Apdata, PeopleSoft, Payroll Central, Amazon systems).
3. Ensure data integrity and consistency across different systems used in the payroll process.
4. Perform quality checks and internal audits of entered data to ensure accuracy.
5. Resolve discrepancies and anomalies in new hire data and other payroll inputs.
6. Collaborate with HR and Recruitment teams to optimize the flow of new employee information.
7. Maintain up-to-date employee records in payroll systems.
8. Provide support in the setup and maintenance of payroll codes across various systems.
9. Lead process improvement and automation projects related to payroll data entry.
10. Stay current with best practices in payroll data management and relevant new technologies.

Daily tasks:
Input data in Payroll Systems
Analyze data and ensure accuracy as impacts new hires Day 1 experience
Prioritize daily tasks and any urgent new hire information or payroll input requests.
Entering data accurately into multiple systems and ensuring consistency across platforms.
Perform quality checks and internal audits on the morning's data entries to ensure accuracy.
Resolve any discrepancies or anomalies found during this process.
Collaborate with HR and upstream teams to optimize the flow of new employee information and address any issues with recent hires' data.
Work on maintaining employee records in payroll systems, ensuring all information is current and accurate.
Lead process improvement meeting, discussing automation projects for payroll data entry and management

Our mission at Payroll Prep LATAM is to deliver accurate and timely payroll processing, streamline new hire documentation, and provide expert support for new hire – lifecycle information.We strive to enhance operational efficiency by leveraging technology and best practices, while fostering a culture of excellence and responsiveness. Through our dedicated efforts, we aim to support our organization’s growth and ensure a seamless experience for every employee across LATAM- 1+ years of finance experience
- 2+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
- 2+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills
- Experience using data to influence business decisions
- Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting and reporting- 2+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- Experience in TM1, Data Warehouse and SQL
