You are a seasoned privacy attorney with a strong business orientation and a proven track record in providing strategic counsel on global privacy and data regulations. With at least 5 years of experience in privacy law, you have a deep understanding of the evolving regulatory landscape and its implications for businesses. You excel in monitoring emerging laws and market trends, ensuring that your organization is well-positioned for future regulatory shifts. Your ability to handle complex legal issues with practical, business-focused solutions sets you apart in the field.

You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to effectively partner with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders, including regulators and external counsel. Your experience in managing customer escalations and addressing complex legal requests demonstrates your capability to navigate challenging situations with ease. You are committed to aligning privacy and data protection strategies with legal requirements and industry standards, ensuring compliance across key markets.

Desirable

Experience in AI regulations and data protection strategies is a plus, as is familiarity with international privacy laws. You are proactive in your approach, always looking for ways to enhance the in-house legal practice to better support customers and the company.

What you'll do

You will lead cross-functional compliance and governance efforts for emerging privacy, security, and AI regulations, ensuring that the company remains compliant while driving strategic objectives. Your responsibilities will include advising on legal developments and their business impact, as well as proactively monitoring emerging laws to help position HubSpot for future regulatory and technological shifts.

You will partner with regulators and external counsel on privacy and data matters, responding to regulatory inquiries and managing customer escalations. Your expertise will be critical in addressing complex legal requests and aligning privacy strategies with legal requirements. You will work closely with the Legal & Compliance team to evolve the in-house practice, ensuring it effectively supports both the company and its customers.
