Senior iOS Engineer

The Role

At TIDAL, a global music streaming platform owned by Block, we are committed to empowering artists and delivering unparalleled music experiences to fans. We are looking for an iOS Engineer who thrives in product development and is passionate about making a real difference in the music industry. You’ll join our mobile team, a highly collaborative group of iOS and Android engineers, working closely with product, design, and backend teams in cross-functional sprints.

You Will

• Ship high-quality, durable, and well-tested code at a fast, exciting cadence
• Deliver features that reach millions of TIDAL customers around the world
• Build new functionality that provides real value for music fans and empowers artists
• Collaborate with Android engineers and backend developers to deliver innovative solutions
• Use AI development tools to accelerate delivery and enhance code quality
• Participate in design and product discussions, shaping the future of TIDAL’s mobile experience
• Mentor and support teammates, fostering a culture of technical excellence and growth.
• Write and maintain automated tests to ensure product reliability

You Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience, plus ~5 years of relevant industry experience
• Deep technical expertise in iOS development with Swift (Objective-C experience is a plus)
• Proven ability to write readable, maintainable, and well-crafted code
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools in your workflow
• Strong understanding of iOS frameworks like SwiftUI, UIKit, AVFoundation, and CoreAudio
• A commitment to continuous improvement for yourself, your team, and our codebase
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across disciplines
• Experience mentoring and growing other engineers
• Passion for music and creating tools that support artists and fans

Technologies We Use and Teach

• Languages: Swift, Objective-C, Kotlin (we collaborate closely with our Android counterparts!)
• Frameworks: SwiftUI, UIKit, SQLite, Accessibility, AVFoundation, Core Data
• Testing: Unit tests, UI tests, integration tests
• AI Tools: Goose, Cursor, Claude Code for accelerated and high-quality development
• Others: CI/CD pipelines, feature flagging, and modern development practices
