You'll collaborate with engineering teams to develop security frameworks and automated controls. This role requires expertise in security practices and programming languages like Python and Java.
You have a strong background in security engineering, with experience in developing self-service security frameworks that empower engineering teams to ship secure code by default. You understand the importance of automated guardrails for common vulnerabilities and are skilled in conducting deep-dive design reviews into complex business logic and data isolation issues. Your expertise in OWASP principles allows you to effectively prioritize security measures that align with business needs.
You are a collaborative partner who enjoys working closely with product and engineering teams to review designs early in the development process. You contribute to threat modeling for new features and complex initiatives, providing clear and actionable security guidance that helps teams navigate potential risks. Your research skills keep you informed about emerging threats and evolving best practices, particularly in the context of AI and LLM safety.
You have a proactive approach to managing and evolving security practices, including overseeing external penetration testing to ensure the robustness of Airtable's security posture. Your ability to communicate complex security concepts in an understandable manner makes you a valuable asset to cross-functional teams.
Experience with cloud security and familiarity with automated security testing tools would be beneficial. A background in application security within a SaaS environment is also a plus, as is knowledge of regulatory compliance standards relevant to data protection.
In this role, you will develop and implement self-service security frameworks that allow engineering teams to ship secure code by default. You will focus on creating automated guardrails for common vulnerabilities while conducting thorough design reviews to address complex issues that automated tools may overlook. Your work will involve partnering with product and engineering teams to review designs early, contributing to threat modeling for new features, and providing actionable security guidance.
You will research emerging threats and best practices, particularly regarding AI and LLM safety, and implement controls to secure these workflows. Additionally, you will manage and evolve the approach to external penetration testing, ensuring that Airtable's security measures are robust and effective.
Your role will also involve educating teams on security best practices and fostering a culture of security awareness across the organization. You will be instrumental in shaping the security landscape of Airtable's platform as it continues to grow and evolve.
Airtable offers a collaborative work environment where you can make a significant impact on the security of a widely used platform. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the development of innovative security solutions.
