Amazon is hiring an Engineering Technician to maintain and troubleshoot mission-critical technology infrastructure in Sparks, Nevada. You'll work with electrical and mechanical systems to ensure 99.999% uptime for AWS data centers.
You are an entry-level Engineering Technician with a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical systems. You have hands-on experience troubleshooting and maintaining critical infrastructure, ensuring that technology operates seamlessly. Your attention to detail and problem-solving skills enable you to address complex issues effectively, contributing to the reliability of mission-critical facilities. You understand the importance of uptime in a data center environment and are committed to maintaining high standards of operational excellence.
You possess knowledge of three-phase electrical systems, including switch gear, UPSs, and PDUs. Your familiarity with diesel generators and fuel systems allows you to support the operational needs of data centers. You are eager to learn and grow within a team of skilled professionals, collaborating to solve challenging problems in a fast-paced environment. You are adaptable and ready to take on new responsibilities as you develop your technical expertise.
Experience with cooling systems, such as CRAC units and centrifugal chillers, is a plus. Familiarity with data center operations and infrastructure management will help you excel in this role.
