On the Quick Actions team, we build and evolve the core action platform that underpins how Amazon Quick Suite gets real work done and serves as part of the backbone for our agentic AI experiences. Our services sit at the heart of the product, providing a consistent, secure way for LLMs and AI agents to configure and invoke actions across first-party, third-party, and customer-built systems. We power tool calling and action orchestration for Quick chat, dashboards, automations, and multi-agent workflows, enabling seamless integration with tools like Jira, Asana, Slack, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Salesforce, and custom HTTP or MCP services, so that when intelligent agents plan, reason, and execute work on behalf of users, everything “just works.” As a Software Development Engineer on the Quick Actions team, you will design, build, and optimize high-scale distributed services that ensure performance, scalability, and reliability for hundreds of actions. Your work will directly shape how businesses leverage generative AI, LLMs, and autonomous workflows to streamline operations and make data-driven decisions, while you partner closely with product and other engineering teams to expand our action and remote-agent ecosystem.
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
