Senior/Staff Machine Learning Engineer - Bidding (Bangkok based, relocation provided)

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in machine learning engineering, with a strong background in developing and deploying machine learning models in production environments. Your expertise in Python allows you to write clean, efficient code, and you are comfortable using libraries such as TensorFlow and Keras for model development. You understand the intricacies of data analysis and can manipulate large datasets using SQL and BigQuery to derive actionable insights.

You are familiar with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and have experience deploying machine learning solutions in a cloud environment. Your knowledge of containerization tools like Docker enables you to create reproducible environments for your models. You are also proficient in version control systems like Git, ensuring that your code is well-managed and collaborative.

You possess strong analytical skills and can translate complex data into meaningful insights that drive business decisions. You are a proactive problem solver who enjoys tackling challenges and finding innovative solutions. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are eager to share your knowledge with your team, mentoring junior engineers and fostering a culture of learning.

Desirable

Experience with A/B testing and experimentation frameworks is a plus, as is familiarity with data visualization tools to communicate findings effectively. What you'll do

In this role at Agoda, you will be responsible for designing and implementing machine learning models that enhance our bidding systems, ultimately improving our pricing strategies and user experience. You will collaborate closely with product managers and data scientists to identify opportunities for machine learning applications within our business processes.

You will lead the development of end-to-end machine learning pipelines, from data collection and preprocessing to model training and deployment. Your work will involve experimenting with different algorithms and techniques to optimize model performance and ensure scalability.

You will also be tasked with monitoring model performance in production, conducting regular evaluations, and iterating on your solutions based on feedback and new data. Your insights will directly impact Agoda's ability to provide competitive pricing and improve customer satisfaction.

Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work alongside cross-functional teams to integrate machine learning solutions into existing systems. You will participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in machine learning engineering, ensuring that your team adheres to high standards of quality and efficiency.
