iHerb is seeking a Director of Merchandising to drive growth and profitability for key categories. You'll develop strategies related to product, pricing, and vendor relations while leading a team of Merchants. This role requires strong analytical skills and business expertise.

Who you are

You have extensive experience in merchandising, ideally with a focus on driving growth and profitability within a category. Your analytical skills enable you to articulate a clear strategy and long-term vision that aligns with company objectives. As a department leader, you are adept at developing and executing strategies related to product, pricing, promotions, and vendor relations. You understand the importance of optimizing key brands and identifying cost-saving opportunities while fostering continued growth. You have a proven track record of managing and developing teams, creating a cohesive and efficient environment that encourages forward-thinking. You are comfortable partnering with senior management and executives to make high-level merchandising decisions that impact strategic accounts.

What you'll do

In this role, you will cultivate and support a leading-edge merchandising team focused on key categories, enabling them to develop and grow assigned categories with the tools for success. You will work closely with senior management and executives to develop and implement business strategies that align with the department's short and long-term growth objectives. Your leadership will guide your team in strategically negotiating with vendors to secure exceptional terms and conditions. You will be responsible for making high-level merchandising decisions that drive the success of top-tier accounts. Additionally, you will oversee the hiring and development of Merchants, ensuring that your team is equipped to meet the challenges of a competitive market. Your role will involve continuous analysis of market trends and competitor strategies to differentiate iHerb's offerings and maintain a competitive edge.
