JavaScriptC#.NET CoreAzure

Overview

Microsoft is hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design and deliver systems for OneDrive and SharePoint. You'll work with technologies like JavaScript, C#, and Azure to enhance cloud services. This position requires strong engineering skills and experience in building scalable systems.

Job Description

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in full stack development — you've designed and built applications that are user-friendly and efficient, and you understand the intricacies of both frontend and backend technologies. Your expertise in JavaScript and C# allows you to create seamless integrations and robust applications that meet user needs.

You are familiar with cloud services, particularly Azure — you understand how to leverage cloud capabilities to enhance application performance and scalability. Your experience with .NET Core enables you to build high-performance applications that can handle significant user loads while maintaining reliability.

You thrive in collaborative environments — working closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers is second nature to you. You enjoy sharing knowledge and mentoring junior engineers, helping them grow in their careers while contributing to the team's success.

You are detail-oriented and have a strong focus on performance optimization — you know how to analyze and improve system performance, ensuring that applications run smoothly and efficiently. Your problem-solving skills enable you to tackle complex challenges and deliver effective solutions.

Desirable

Experience with large-scale distributed systems is a plus — you understand the challenges of building applications that serve millions of users and can design systems that are resilient and maintainable. Familiarity with telemetry and monitoring tools will help you optimize service performance and respond quickly to issues.

What you'll do

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Microsoft, you will be part of a dynamic team focused on enhancing OneDrive and SharePoint services. You will design and implement features that improve user experience and system performance, ensuring that our cloud services are reliable and efficient. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software that meets business continuity planning goals.

You will be responsible for developing scalable applications that integrate with various Microsoft services — your work will directly impact how users interact with their content across devices. You will also contribute to the migration of partners and ISVs from other cloud providers, ensuring a smooth transition with zero customer impact.

Your day-to-day tasks will include writing clean, maintainable code, conducting code reviews, and participating in design discussions — you will have the opportunity to influence the technical direction of the team and contribute to architectural decisions. You will also be involved in troubleshooting and resolving service issues, using telemetry data to drive improvements.

What we offer

At Microsoft, we foster a culture of inclusion and collaboration — you will work alongside talented engineers and have access to resources that support your professional growth. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we value diverse perspectives and backgrounds.

You will have the opportunity to work on impactful projects that reach millions of users — your contributions will help shape the future of cloud services at Microsoft. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, along with a flexible work environment that supports work-life balance.
