Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong background in building and optimizing large-scale systems. Your expertise in Java and Apache Spark allows you to design and implement robust solutions that meet complex business needs. You are skilled in systems debugging and performance measurement, ensuring that production clusters operate efficiently and effectively.

You possess a deep understanding of data governance and AI technologies, which enables you to contribute meaningfully to projects that enhance data insights and operational capabilities. Your leadership skills shine as you plan and execute large-scale technical projects, guiding teams through the complexities of architecture design and product roadmaps.

You are a proactive problem solver who thrives in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and improve product offerings. Your ability to introduce automation tools enhances the operability of systems, making you a valuable asset to any engineering team.

Desirable

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus, as it complements your existing skill set in data infrastructure. Familiarity with data governance frameworks and best practices will further enhance your contributions to the Unity Catalog project.

What you'll do

In this role, you will take ownership of key feature areas for Unity Catalog, specifically focusing on Lineage and Tagging.
