Job Description

This position is for an 8-12 week Internship to be conducted in Summer of 2026 (Jun-Sep 2026).
*Minimum 12 weeks Internship is required for all International hires (who require JP VISA Support)*

An Amazon MBA summer internship, consists of leading a strategic project that is data intensive, analytical, centered on a real business issue, and representative of the full-time role.

Interns will have ownership of a high profile project within a business organization team, where they will partner with key business groups and clients. By participating in the internship, you will have opportunities to analyze unique business ideas, make data driven decisions and provide input to drive meaningful change. Each intern will have exposure to upper level management (including Vice Presidents and Directors) and the opportunity to apply general business skills to support successful execution of corporate strategies.

PMTs at Amazon are the end-to-end owners of our software offerings, hardware, and technical services. PMTs leverage their technical depth to partner closely with engineers in defining a vision and building a roadmap to launch technical products that play a key role in making Amazon Earth’s most customer centric company. With a customer base that can span across retail shoppers, developers, and business leaders. PMTs are set on a path to become leaders of business segments or technical organizations.

Key job responsibilities
-Developing and executing scalable business plans and product requirements – being a business owner
-Driving cross-functional projects to completion
-Developing strategies based on data analysis
-Communicating effectively with senior management
-Maintaining an intense customer-focus
-Balancing strategic thinking with tactical, detailed execution
-Working cross functionally with teams throughout the company

A day in the life
The primary role of a PMT within Amazon is to assume end-to-end product ownership over one of our technical product offerings. PMTs are expected to dive deep into the technology both from a product and customer perspective, working with software engineers and business partners to define, build, launch and grow new technology-driven products and services. With input from business stakeholders, they develop business and product requirements, prioritize needs, and manage milestones and overall roadmap. - Bachelor's/any degree, or experience working in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM)
- Currently enrolled in MBA or equivalent master’s level program at the time of application with a graduation date between December 2026 – September 2027
- 3+ years of full-time industry work experience, which occurred between the graduation date from your undergraduate program and prior to starting your MBA or Master’s program
- Ability to participate in a 8-12 week Summer Internship, Tokyo in Japan.
- Business level fluency in both English

※VISA / International relocation support will be provided if necessary
- Business level fluency in Japanese or Chinese (in both written and verbal format)
- 4+ years of work experience prior to your MBA including academic and/or internship experience
- Proven track record of both high-level strategic thinking and detailed execution
- Committed to learning new things, taking ownership and getting things done
- Comfortable working in a cross-functional, dynamic environment, managing multiple, sometimes competing, priorities
- Demonstrated ability to think big and influence across all levels of an organization
