Venn is seeking a Head of Engineering to lead their high-performing engineering team and contribute to the development of core financial products. You'll work with technologies like Java and AWS to ensure operational excellence and high-quality delivery.
You have a strong background in engineering leadership with a proven track record of building and mentoring high-performing teams. With 5+ years of experience in a technical role, you understand the intricacies of backend systems and infrastructure, and you are comfortable contributing directly to the codebase. Your expertise in modern programming languages such as Java and Python allows you to set a high technical bar across reliability, scalability, and security. You possess excellent communication and organizational skills, enabling you to manage sprint capacity and remove blockers effectively. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about transforming traditional banking practices through innovative technology.
Experience in a fintech environment is a plus, as is familiarity with payment products such as card issuing and money transfers. You have worked in early-stage or fast-growing startups, which has equipped you with the agility to adapt to changing priorities and challenges. Your breadth of knowledge across various infrastructure, languages, and stacks will be invaluable as you lead the engineering team at Venn.
