Google is seeking a Senior Customer Engineer in Data Analytics to support client relationship management and drive consumption for Google Cloud data products. You'll leverage skills in data management and business intelligence applications while communicating fluently in Japanese.
You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with a minimum of 6 years of experience in cloud native architecture, particularly in customer-facing roles. Your background includes at least 2 years in a pre-sales engineer or consulting capacity, where you've honed your skills in data management and business intelligence applications like Tableau and Power BI. You are fluent in Japanese, enabling you to effectively manage client relationships in the Tokyo region. Your experience also encompasses data processing tools such as Informatica and analytics platforms like Hadoop and Spark, which you have utilized to drive insights and solutions for clients.
A Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is preferred, along with experience in application development and integration, particularly with software integration using Web APIs. You have a strong understanding of the value of Machine Learning (ML) and can discuss its benefits with customers, enhancing their understanding of how it can transform their business operations.
In this role, you will be part of the Google Cloud Platform team, where you will help customers transform their businesses using cloud technology. You will make recommendations on integration strategies and enterprise architectures, providing practice advice to customers and partners to optimize the effectiveness of Google Cloud. Your responsibilities will include driving consumption for Google Cloud data products through value-based discovery, ensuring that clients understand the full potential of the solutions available to them. You will also travel to customer sites and conferences as needed, fostering strong relationships and understanding client needs firsthand.
