Whatnot is seeking a Senior Compensation Business Partner / Lead to guide compensation strategy across Engineering, Product, and Design. You'll collaborate with senior leaders to design frameworks that balance competitiveness and equity. This role requires strong analytical capabilities and strategic depth.
You have extensive experience in compensation strategy, ideally within a technology or e-commerce environment. Your analytical skills are top-notch, allowing you to interpret data and influence decisions effectively. You thrive in collaborative settings, working closely with senior leaders across various departments to ensure alignment on compensation frameworks. You understand the importance of balancing competitiveness with fiscal responsibility, and you are adept at navigating complex organizational structures. Your strategic mindset enables you to foresee challenges and propose innovative solutions that support talent density and reward impact. You are passionate about creating equitable compensation programs that attract and retain top talent.
Experience in a fast-growing startup or marketplace environment is a plus. Familiarity with compensation benchmarking tools and methodologies will enhance your ability to contribute effectively. You may also have a background in finance or people operations, which will further inform your approach to compensation strategy.

You will partner with senior leaders in Engineering, Product, and Design to ensure that compensation programs are competitive and equitable. You will also play a key role in communicating compensation strategies to employees, fostering transparency and understanding. Collaborating with the Finance team, you will ensure that compensation programs are fiscally responsible and aligned with the company's financial goals.
