Who you are

You have a strong background in backend engineering, particularly in building and maintaining large-scale financial tracking systems. Your experience includes working with cloud-based services, and you have a good understanding of technologies such as gRPC, GraphQL, Docker, and Kubernetes. You think of yourself as entrepreneurial and enjoy working as a generalist across varying technologies and stacks to solve problems and delight both internal and external users. You are passionate about building ergonomic APIs and have a keen interest in managing money at a global scale.

Desirable

Experience with payment systems or digital wallets is a plus, as is familiarity with security mechanisms that protect consumers and merchants during transactions. You are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Infrastructure and Product, to deliver innovative solutions that address evolving user needs.

What you'll do

In this role, you will scope, design, build, and maintain the balance management platform and the new funds accessibility platform. You will play a key role in extending these platforms, ensuring they meet the needs of enterprises and small to medium-sized businesses alike. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with various teams at Stripe to deliver solutions that enhance user experience and streamline payment processes. You will also be involved in the entire stack, from building front-end experiences to developing infrastructure that supports low latency payment transactions.

You will be expected to think critically about the systems you build, ensuring they are robust and secure. Your work will directly impact how consumers interact with their finances online, providing them with a seamless and secure payment experience. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and contribute to the overall growth of the engineering team.
